oh Paris.
em and I  had to deal a 14-hr flight and a 3-hr stopover  just to get to charles de gaulle's, from the other time zone.
but then that's perfectly fine.
if only to see your majestic towers in person ...err in its towering height :)

i was forewarned that your city is a mischievous one.
expensive restaurants, no lifts, small narrow alleys, unpredictable weather, unfriendly locals and even being warned that pickpockets are out there to outwit me anytime.

nevertheless, the unpredictability and temporary discomfort of all these things made me realize the beauty you are all about.

but then, i've always believed that there are no bad holiday experiences, only the wrong company you are with. so choose your holiday buddies wisely. *wink*

literally. em and i will be traveling in May this year to... susi (to snoop out) what's going on the other corners of the globe. as i am a wuss for light travels, i have pointed out the rules for this activity - one back pack only per head :P BUT only for outbound :) inbound - that is a different story considering i already have something in mind to bring back that cannot get away with the liquid restrictions at the airport, so we have to check it in (hello, Speculoos cookie butter!) The Grandeur that was. If i could only have a month of vacation leave, i would choose Italy. Italy is one of those places in my fairy tale book where i pictured  La  vita  è bella. I imagined myself walking in the cobblestoned narrow alleys going to the mercato to get the freshest italian meat in one hand and a slab of cheese in another, with fresh linguini and a bottle of wine in a woven basket. This time, I was so excited to take a week-long trip to my dream place. But first, Em and I  have to make a stop to the Roma Capitale,  to pay our respects to the greatest city of its time. The streets of Rome itself is a museum. Everywhere you turn your head you can see bits and pieces of history and can just imagine how it was before when all these people in their togas and tunics walk around the city.
