Happy New Year! - still alive and kickin'

Image
Vancouver skies on birth day I just turned a year older yesterday and was asked what my birthday wish was, I blurted out - World Peace . Funny how it sounded so Miss-Universely-like but I really mean it. World Peace of Mind as well. My small family This pandemic has sent us scrambling in all directions of panic, fear, judgment, and uncertainty. I had to say we were a bit prepared for this. Since last year - early 2019, we plunged into an adventure that is so risky we left everything we built for so many years. There were a lot of doubts, fears, and comments we had to take with a grain of salt. Why this ? Why that ? I had no answer except - "... because I wanted to. ...because we wanted to ." I wanted so bad to invent a reasonable reason just to make it sound logical for everyone I spoke to. Maybe say,  I didn't like my job back then - which is not true. or maybe because Singapore is not a good place for us - which is also not true. I just can't - I...

Of Branded Bags

Image
Years ago I had a wake up call about branded bags. choose local! When we went to Paris, one on my list was to get an original designer bag straight from a French shop. Em and I  went around Champs-Elysees the whole morning only to find that the store was closed for renovation. The next available shop was at Rue Saint Honore', which took us the rest of the afternoon locating it, as you know the French building numbers assignment is a lot more confusing than you realize. When we finally located the shop they just declared that they are closed for the day. You can just imagine the big sigh I had that day. Our flight back home was the next afternoon so we had to be early the next day. The following day we were early - way too early had to walk around first before they open at 10AM. By the time they opened, we went inside but we were not the first ones as a few Asians were also waiting for the shop doors to open. I happily made the purchase and flew back home 6000 miles away....

well, hello!

Happy New Year! I'm ecstatic to start my 2017, just like the other new years. :D It gives me the feeling that I can choose anything I want to do this year! same as last years lol. Of course planning is the easiest part. Executing is well, hmmm. There's this guy named Procastination that's always in front of me. haha. So let's do the easiest ones first. Step 1. REVIEW THE PAST. Check all outdated stuff, old receipts, smelly stuff, molded stuff, OUT. Scan previous blogs, and repost if I still have the heart. LOL. Re-read old planners, organizers, and see what has been done, if it was all worth it and should i do it again? Step 2. CHECK THE PRESENT. This is the part where disorientation is an advantage. Asking these questions would appear healthy. Where am I? errr. Who am I? Crispin? Basilio? What are you to me? haha. How did I arrive here? by bus? by train? by mrt? with wings :) Step 3. GEAR UP FOR THE FUTURE. Take a piece of paper and pen. Ipad ...

memory stamp: kucci

one of the fondest memories i had with Kucci was taking her out for a ride, with the vehicle windows open. i could see her happiest on those moments, taking all the wind and enjoying every single ride. she was one of the reasons i always come home early or drop by at lunch just to see how she's doing. everyday was such a wonderful day with her. when she was very young, she got sick and was hanging on to dear life when we decided to call on the vet. she was given some shots and meds and after a few days, she was looking a bit better. growing up she was a very funny dog, who easily gets scared even with her own shadow. often times it happens when she enters a room and suddenly sees something "dark" on one side - be it a big bag, luggage, garbage can or just a bunch of "saba" bananas, she would freak out and barks at it endlessly with matching fur show off. she would never get close to the thing and if you lift and take her nearer to it, she would ten...
